Saratoga, Wyoming is a historic frontier town with deep Western Americana roots. Located in the Upper Platte River Valley, the town is defined by a rugged desert landscape of wide-open sagebrush plains. Home to free-roaming wild horses that symbolize the region's untamed heritage and native swallows soaring above, Saratoga showcases an enduring cowboy culture and unique high-desert beauty.
Artist Jess Mudgett captures the spirit of Saratoga with his signature bold, high-contrast lines and rugged Western aesthetic in the Pendleton® Saratoga Blanket, available at Pendleton®. To honor the artistry of the original blanket, I meticulously transformed its aesthetic into a bespoke coat. Strategic layout design paired with leather accents allowed me to utilize the blanket in its entirety, leaving no visual element behind.
